Description: Several changes have been made to the 1997 KX125 including engine tuning to boost throttle response, as well as improve acceleration from low engine speeds without sacrificing power delivery at top-end. A thinner base gasket is used to boost compression and a heavier flywheel helps smooth the power delivery and aid rear wheel traction. A revised intake tract helps boost mid-range. Reed valves have changed too. They are now 1.6mm longer than last year and the reed stops are a stepped design to improve throttle response. Other changes include larger box section beams in steel perimeter frame and a 3mm longer swingarm. A revised front fork promises to ease landings from larger jumps. A host of other improvements promise to make the 1997 KX125 better than ever.
